The 4K Download team is bringing exciting news again! A few days ago, the 4K YouTube to MP3 app rolled out a fresh update, version 25.2.0, and brought a number of usability improvements, cleaner design, and smarter logic for handling language and links. Let’s cut to the chase and see what’s new we have in the release.
Smarter Language Choice for YouTube Content
One of the more visible changes is in how the app now selects content language. If free users see titles in the system language, premium users can rely on the language selected via the in-app YouTube browser. Audio preferences follow the same logic, unless the user is logged in. If that’s the case, playback history takes the lead.
Control Panel Has a New Look
A redesigned Control Panel with a streamlined layout is another novelty the 25.2.0 update brings. Navigation has been reworked to be more intuitive and cut down on time spent hunting for settings or options.
License Key Is Now Shown on Other Devices
For users juggling multiple devices, there's now a small but welcome addition: the license key is displayed directly in the app to make sure the reactivation on other machines has become faster and less error-prone.
Accessibility Is Improved
To release the 25.2.0 YouTube to MP3 update, we’ve drawn attention to accessibility, too. Keyboard navigation has been improved, and screen reader announcements are starting to get more attention, though these changes are marked as initial, which means that more refinements are on their way.
Other Enhancements
The list above doesn’t display every tiny improvement we included in the release. Here’s what has been changed as well:
-
Localization has become clearer. Vague labels like “Remove” and “Delete File” have been clarified to reduce confusion, and the Italian translation has received some attention as well.
-
We’ve fixed several long-standing bugs under the hood; an invisible but crucial improvement for your stable experience. Playlist and channel items now appear in the correct order. Context menu issues with “Download Channel” and “Paste Link” have been fixed, and popups now align properly. We’ve also addressed a rare crash related to database load failures.
-
On the parsing front, the app is now better equipped to handle edge cases. YouTube Music channels capped at 100 items are parsed correctly, and so are Facebook shared links and audio links from BiliBili. An issue that could cause endless parsing in rare cases has been ironed out, and YouTube link parsing overall is now more stable.
The update is available now for all, so if you didn’t have a chance to update yet, now is the time!
