How to Download Saved Posts & Collections from Instagram

Instagram allows you to save posts to turn to them later and group them in collections. But what Instagram doesn’t let you do natively is download the posts you’ve saved. Apart from screenshotting them, of course. Here we’ll reveal how you can download saved posts from Instagram in bulk.

How to Save Posts on Instagram

If you haven’t ever saved posts on Instagram, here’s how you can do that:

  1. Find a post or Reel you want to save. Yes, Instagram now allows you to save Reels along with the regular posts.

  2. Tap the bookmark icon below the post. You can do that on your smartphone or PC, regardless of your current OS.

  3. Click Save.

How to See Your Saved Posts on Instagram

To take a look at your saved posts when you need to refresh something or again find that guide you saved a year ago, do the following:

  1. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner of your screen.

  2. Click the burger menu in the top right corner.

  3. Head over to Saved.

Remember that only you can see the posts you've saved. When you save someone's post, they don’t get notified you've saved it.

How Do I Create a Collection of Saved Posts on Instagram?

Now that you know how to save Instagram posts and find them, you can group the posts into collections. Here’s how:

  1. Head over to the Saved posts (see above how you can do that).

  2. Tap and hold the bookmark icon.

  3. Select a collection you've already created or tap + to create a new one.

Next time you save Instagram content, the platform will ask you if you want to save it into a particular collection.

Download Instagram Saved Posts and Saved Collections on Desktop in Bulk

If you’ve ever used the Instagram saved posts feature at least once in a lifetime, it means you want to keep your favourite content for good. But there are cases when your account might get blocked, restricted, or the creator of the post you’ve saved decides to delete it. What then?

To be on the safe side, download the Instagram saved posts collection on your device. But it’s daunting and time-consuming to save all posts one after another, so there’s a solution that allows you to do so in bulk.

  1. Launch 4K Stogram.

  2. Log in to your Instagram account within the app.

  3. Click Edit at the top menu and select Download > My Saved Posts.

As you can see, 4K Stogram also allows you to save your tagged posts, back up your Instagram account, and download the content of the accounts you’re following on Instagram and their stories. The tool is free to use, with the ability to upgrade one time to unlock more features.
