Latest YouTube Changes: Is The 4K Video Downloader Compatible?

YouTube is constantly rolling out new changes—a real headache for developers and YouTube-integrated apps. Each time YouTube implements updates, the developers of integrated software must also implement updates to ensure that the app or software is compatible with the latest changes. Well, it's that time again—YouTube recently released new updates, so the developers of the 4K Video Downloader have been working to ensure that the 4K Video Downloader is, and will remain, compatible with the latest changes from YouTube. First, let's take a look at the latest YouTube updates.

YouTube Updates

The latest YouTube updates include the new Creator Hub which includes a suite of new creator tools. The company showcased the new creator tools at the Vidcon industry conference in Anaheim, CA. The company said the latest features will allow creators to make their videos more awesome, grow their business and increase their viewing audience.

Until the latest updates, users could only upload content at 24-30 frames per second (fps). With the new updates, users will be able to upload content at up to 60 fps. Many high-quality videos, especially gaming videos, have been forced to endure quality loss when uploaded to YouTube in the past. Users will be able to play a game at up to 60 fps, record it, and upload the footage to YouTube without experiencing any denigration in quality. YouTube states “your video game footage with crazy high frame rates will soon look as awesome on YouTube as it does when you're playing.” YouTube recently purchased Twitch, which is the world's leading video platform and community for gamers. Around 45 million gamers visit Twitch per month. This has allowed YouTube to get deeper-involved with the gaming community, and support for high-quality gaming videos is critical to maintain a customer base of hardcore gamers.

Another excellent update is the fan funding feature. Once this feature is implemented, users will have the ability to donate to any channel at any time for any reason.

Other features include Audio Library sound effects, Creator credits, fan-submitted subtitles, moving from annotations to cards and expanded playlist management.

These exciting new features look to expand the management options and control that Creators have over their video content. But one question remains—will users be able to use the 4K Video Downloader to download the new high-quality videos from YouTube?

How compatible is the 4K Video Downloader?

We are proud to announce that the 4K Video Downloader will remain completely compatible with all the latest changes and updates from YouTube. Gaming videos (and other high-quality videos) can be recorded at 60 fps, uploaded to YouTube, then downloaded by other users (using 4K Video Downloader) at the same exact quality that the video was uploaded in!

*Tip: If users just want the high-quality audio from the video, they can still use the 4K YouTube to MP3 program, or use the online service (no installation or registration required) of the 4K Online YouTube Downloader, which strips the audio from YouTube video files and downloads it to the user's hard drive.
