Where do I sign in to YouTube in 4K Video Downloader Plus?

On Reddit, we’ve got this question that says, “Most of the time when downloading videos, I get a message telling me that it is private and I need to sign in, but there is nowhere to sign in. Where do you sign in?”

We’re happy to help! Here’s a quick guide on signing in to YouTube when using 4K Video Downloader Plus:

Option 1:

Open the control panel by clicking on its button in the upper-right corner.

Then click on the YouTube icon, and the login window will appear.

Option 2:

Open the browser by tapping the search bar at the bottom of the app.

Then tap the YouTube icon (or any other site you need) and log in just like in a regular browser.

Logged-in users can perform the following unique actions:

Download age-restricted YouTube videos.
Download your Watch later YouTube playlist.
Download your Liked videos YouTube playlist.
Download any private YouTube playlists and videos that you have access to.
Download videos from YouTube Premium, in case you are subscribed to the service.
Download a large number of YouTube videos without the temporary IP address ban.

Can you add Instagram videos as a download option?

Instagram’s policy is very different from the policies of YouTube and other major platforms. Unfortunately, we cannot implement the desired level of safety for users’ accounts, since Instagram has introduced serious restrictions on downloading content through third-party apps. Downloading an Instagram video might simply end up with your account being blocked, and we don’t want to risk it.

For this reason, we had to discontinue our 4K Stogram app.

Is Windows 7 still supported?

Unfortunately, no, we no longer support Windows 7, and no new updates are released for it.

Can you add an option in 4K Tokkit that would allow deleting all the downloaded media from storage when removing an account, instead of just modifying the SQLite file?

Even if we don’t have this option yet, here’s the workaround you can try:

Select the stack you want to delete.
Choose “Show in folder” from the menu.
Delete the stack inside the app.
Then delete the files from the folder that opened automatically.

Why can’t I update 4K Video Downloader Plus on my 12th macOS?

Unfortunately, starting with the 25.4 release of 4K Video Downloader Plus, we can no longer guarantee stable work on versions lower than 12 on Mac mainly because of YouTube's constant security tweaks. We had to introduce a new built-in browser to keep up with them. This also fixes issues with how certain websites were displayed in the app.

Because of these changes, we recommend updating your OS if possible.

Are videos from Dailymotion & reelshort on the support site list?

4K Video Downloader Plus and 4K YouTube to MP3 let you download video and audio from a wide range of online services. While YouTube remains the primary source for high-quality content, downloading from platforms like Dailymotion is just as easy.
