A fresh update for 4K YouTube to MP3 has landed, and it's focused squarely on making the app more dependable rather than adding new features. Between fewer download failures, a clearer delete dialog, more stable TikTok downloads, and a batch of platform-specific fixes for Ubuntu and macOS, this release tackles a handful of issues that have been on our radar for a while.
A Clearer Delete Dialog
One of the more practical changes in this version concerns the delete dialog. In earlier builds, it wasn't always obvious at a glance whether clicking delete would simply remove an entry from your list or wipe out the actual audio file from your disk. The app also makes fewer requests to YouTube's servers while it parses channels and playlists. Fixes for Ubuntu and macOS Users
Ubuntu users running version 26.04 will notice a specific fix here: a packaging problem in the .deb file that kept the app from launching at all on that release has been resolved. Sound has also returned to video playback inside the app's built-in browser on Ubuntu.
On macOS, the drag-to-Applications arrow is back in the installer window, a minor visual detail, but one that several users had noticed was missing.
Small but Vital Interface Fixes
A few smaller issues have been cleaned up as well. Files with non-Latin characters in their filenames are now processed without trouble. The context menu for individual processed files works correctly again, and the Clear All button has been repositioned so it no longer sits on top of and hides your most recent notification.
More Stable Overall
On the stability front, the "Search audio tags" toggle has returned to working order and no longer causes crashes. TikTok videos also get specific treatment in this release: they no longer fail to download or come through with no audio track at all.
