Older versions of 4K YouTube to MP3 and 4K Video Downloader Plus introduced YouTube account authorization in the app settings. On desktop, many users still connect their YouTube account via Tools > Preferences > Authorization in the menu bar to access private YouTube content.
Since 2023, both apps have also included a built‑in browser that lets you open supported sites and log in to them directly in the app, which is especially useful for audio and video content visible only to logged‑in users, restricted by privacy settings, or available via private or password‑protected links. If you can open and play the content in a regular browser while logged in, you can usually download it through the in‑app browser in the same way.
How to Open the In‑App Browser
The in‑app browser can appear in two different ways depending on the current state of the main window, but it works the same in both cases.
1. When your download list is empty
If there are no downloaded items, the lower part of the main window already shows the browser area with the address or search field and a row of service icons (YouTube, SoundCloud, Facebook, Vimeo, TikTok, and others). In this layout, you don’t need to open anything extra: you can immediately click a service icon or type a site address.
2. When you already have items in the list
If the main window displays a list of downloaded videos or audio files, the browser area is hidden. In this case, click the bar at the bottom of the window where it reads ‘Click to show browser.’ After you click it, the in‑app browser appears, and the address bar plus service icons become available.
From there, you can open websites, sign in to your accounts, and start downloads.
How to Log In Using Quick Access Icons
For the most popular sites, you don’t need to type the address manually. The in‑app browser provides quick access icons at the bottom of the window, including YouTube, SoundCloud, Facebook, Vimeo, TikTok, Naver TV, Twitch, Dailymotion, Bilibili, and Rumble.
Follow these steps to sign in using a quick access icon:

Make sure the in‑app browser is visible (either in the lower part of an empty window or after clicking the browser bar at the bottom of the window to reveal it).

Click the icon of the service you need, for example, YouTube or Vimeo. The selected site will immediately open in the in‑app browser.

Sign in to your account on that site just as you would in a regular browser: enter your email or username and password, or use any other sign‑in method the site supports.

Navigate to the content you want to download. Open the page of the video, playlist, or audio track.
If necessary, paste its URL into the browser’s address bar and click Go to load it.
How to Log In to Other Supported Sites
Some supported sites don’t have their own quick access icons, but you can still use them through the address bar:

Open the in‑app browser using one of the methods described above.

Type the full website address into the browser’s address bar (for example, a supported video or audio site that is not listed among the icons).

Click Go to open the site inside the in‑app browser.

Sign in to your account on that site as usual.

Open the page of the video, playlist, or audio that you want to download.
If you already have a direct link, paste it into the address bar and click Go again.
Once the page is open and the content is available to your logged‑in account, click the Download button in the app window to save it.
